These days there is a new definition for shelf life. It is that period after which any commodity must upgrade before it can regain its status of appeal. Contrary to common belief, it applies not just to comestibles and consumer goods but also to ideas and philosophies. Take Capitalism for example. The soul behind the unarguably most famous hit of the 20th Century Limited, may well have gotten lost in the marshes of fast-changing history, but it is because of this that Capitalism is still alive and thriving.

Come to think of it, where do we see capitalism in the near future? If you had to chart out a pathway for the great philosophy, which sphere of your life do you see it entering? I particularly see it entering the fiefdom of movies BIGTIME. How about raising money through an IPO to make a movie. The story is out in the open, so is the name of the director. The ten biggest shareholders would decide on the cast. And then the machinery starts rolling, and stakeholders are given regular updates. A meeting or two of the owners of the movies would confirm the release date. Shoot! The movie is released and the revenue meter starts ticking. Tick tock tick tock. If the movie is a hit, everyone shares the profits. If not, well, not all movies end up singing at the box office.
