City youth walk for 'youth awakening'
Scores of youth in the city walked for spreading the principles and message of Swami Vivekananda as part of 'National youth day' celebrations. Swami Vivekananda, who is seen as a great icon among the youth has a lot to tell to the youth of today through his life.
Youth for Seva (YFS) is a Non-Profit Organization which inspires youth to volunteer, connects them to grassroots projects and provides training and support to volunteers. YFS had organized this Walkathon event in order to spread the message of Swami Vivekananda. Hundreds of volunteers from YFS participated in the event with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The walkathon was flagged off by Swami Harshanandji, President of 'Ramakrishna Mission'. The walk started off from Ramakrishna Ashram at 9:30 and ended at Rasthrotthana Parishat , holding placards of his inspiring messages.
