Nagaraju: Everybody's Choice!

After getting the green signal from the Supreme Court for holding the BBMP elections in February, the countdown to roll the electoral dice has begun. It has given great relief for many aspirants, and the local residents as they can approach their local representative for their grievances, but for Nagaraju it makes no big difference as he has always been doing the rounds of the public, and serving them like any other day before. As far as the locals are concerned, Nagaraju is not really a former corporator, they always feel he is there for them. With Nagaraju contesting the elections, expectations from him are naturally high, but he is unfazed. The recent roadwork's taken up in Byrasandra is an example.
A dipstick survey conducted by TWB confirmed the high popularity ratings of Nagaraju, be it among youngsters, women, home makers, Residents Welfare Associations and Senior Citizens. Nagaraju's USP is his personal ability to get the votes on his own standing and reputation. That he is contesting from the ruling party is an added bonus.
According to his supporters and the local people of his ward, Nagaraju is totally committed and restless until he finishes the job which he has undertaken and blasts left, right and centre, the contractors and workers for dereliction of duty. If they do a good job, he is the first to congratulate them.
In some areas like Koramangala and Indiranagar, residents have formed a forum and the associations there are on a hunt to find their own candidate. But in Jayanagar and wards like Byrasandra, people have already made their choice. The residents associations and the local representatives have good coordination and it has been working in favor of the people. That people know they have a genuinely sincerely and friendly MLA in BN Vijayakumar has hugely boosted the prospects of the ruling party candidates.
