Mallikarjun to contest BBMP Election

B. Mallikarjun, (Malli), Engineer by profession, started his career as convener of Bangalore University Engineers Students Forum, to bring in the changes in schedule of vacations and exam in 1980, 91 and 1992, and also fought for re-valuation, for students rights and freedom. At the time he was actively associated with the dynamic Dr. Jeevaraj Alva till 1999. After his death he later decided to join the Congress and worked with giant killer Sri Ramalinga Reddy the five time consecutive MLA for Jayanagar constituency and now of BTM Layout.
Mallikarjun was actively involved in many big cultural and sports events, he was also one of the organizer of Bangalore Habba, by default he is  helping nature who has helped many poor and needy and downtrodden people in the field of education and in getting their works done in the government offices such as jobs, transfers and so on.
He has a wide network of youngsters, very good organizing skills in the field of election, and worked tirelessly in the previous Lok Sabha election for Sri. Krishna Byre Gowda by mobilizing and bringing many different young professionals and students to campaign for election with different strategies which resulted in securing maximum votes from Jayanagar Constituency, although Krishna Byre Gowda was outsider then and fought against a very strong candidate.

Malli was also instrumental in bringing many young candidates to politics from various different professions and fields and is known for his administrative and crisis handling skills during elections.
He has also been organizing Grand Shivarathri Nights over three years in Jayanagar. He is associated and a part of First Congress Television Channel owned by Ravish.

Taking all these experiences into account, he felt that he could rightly claim to be a role model in administration and public service. But since his ward no. 153 is reserved for women, he is fielding his wife to contest on his behalf.
