Dubai Shopping Festival to get more Indian Visitor’s

The world's premiere shopping event, made  its maiden conference in Bangalore, on 7th Jan., to  announced the launch of Dubai Shopping Festival 2010. The biggest edition to be held yet, DSF 2010 is expected to surpass all previous editions in style, size, turnover and grandeur. With the entire city decked up, prizes worth crores of rupees on offer and a spectacular itinerary of international events, the Festival hopes to gross a turnover of US $2.67 billion during the 32 days of festivities.
Announcing the details of DSF 2010, Mr. Mohammad Kamali, Marketing Head of Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (formerly DSF Office) remarked that Dubai Shopping Festival is more than shopping, winning, and family entertainment. "We are delighted to be here in India's IT capital to present a landmark 15th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival. This edition is a momentous one for us as it reflects the success of DSF over the years and brings us to a truly elevated level in the history of the festival."
"Dubai Shopping Festival is unlike any other event in the world and it is an experience made all the more memorable by the presence of 6000 retail outlets offering unbelievable prices on celebrated brands, more than 150 international and regional events, and the chance to take home prizes worth millions of dirhams every single day. Starting from January 28 and going on till February 28, DSF 2010 will be set on an unprecedented scale. Besides many cash prizes, this year, 36 Lexus luxury cars, 43 Nissan cars worth a total of Rs. 25 crores will be given away to DSF participants.
A leading tourist destination of the world, Dubai is a shopper's paradise, but it is during DSF that the red carpet is laid out to the world. Over 6000 retail outlets and 50 world class shopping malls will participate in DSF 2010 and offer everything imaginable. The whole city, wearing a festive look with performances, colourful displays and range of spectacular activities like Fashion Festival, Dubai Food Festival, Firework Festivals, Street Festivities and Dubai Carnivals, DSF 2010 will have something on offer for every member of the family. It will also contain numerous shows and concerts by some of the best known international artists and bands such as Zakir Hussain, Sean Kingston, Nickelback and Status Quo. The renowned musical Blood Brothers, one of the longest running works of musical theatre in history, will cater to the taste of music lovers while "Ben 10", the most popular cartoon hero will stage an international mega production.

Speaking on India's contribution to DSF, Mr. Kamali said that expatriate Indians are a vibrant part of UAE's society and that Indian visitors constitute a significant segment of the total international visitors to DSF.
