PODAR INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL COMING UP IN BENGALURU
Maharashtra's famed Podar School is all set to enter Bengaluru at the beginning of the academic year in June 2010. Situated behind T Jones College, on Bannerghatta Road, Vasantpura, Podar International School, Bengaluru will offer the ICSE curriculum. The aim of all the Podar schools is to nurture young minds with an accent on world-class standards in education. The total land area spans 2 acres with 5 floors building comprising 20 classrooms starting from pre-nursery to 5th Std.
Since its establishment in 1927 in Mumbai, the Podar Schools.have nurtured the educational talents of a large number of students. Five years ago, Podars decided to spread their wings and reach to other parts of Maharashtra. Today there are Podar International Schools in Nashik, Jalna, Aurangabad, Pimpri, Chinchwad, Ambegaon, Chakan, Kalyan and Nerul. Addressing the Media Mr. Harsh Podar said that apart from Bengaluru, Podar International School will be opening in Ahmedabad, Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Solapur, Jalgaon, and Karad in June 2010. Podar schools have adopted many measures to strengthen this relationship such as introducing the "between us portal". The portal encourages a constant flow of communication between the parent and the teacher. For instance, parents are immediately informed through a SMS and/or email if their child has not attended school. The "Between us portal" was introduced last year in all Podar International Schools and has been greeted by an overwhelming response by all the parents.

Addressing the Media Mr. Anand Chowla the Podar International School head said a focus on technology and innovative educational teaching methods has helped Podar establish a leadership position across schools in India. The school in Bengaluru will deploy state-of-the-art IT techniques and infrastructure including 'whiteboards'
Skinesthetic Technology, an Electronic Slade/Board which has been imported and are used by the teachers to teach the students with the Elector Magnetic Pen. It is the first of its kind in Bangalore. 100 such machines are used across the schools in other intercity which cost R.1.5 lakh each and save 30 minutes of teaching time.
It will add a totally new perspective to learning. Experienced and trained teachers, well versed with technology, will make an innovative difference to the education of children.
