Politically motivated people instigating farmers against NICE: BJP Leader Rudresh

“Politically motivated people and people with vested interests have instigated some farmers to protest against NICE and these people are misguiding the public and the government,” lashed out BJP leader and President of Ramanagaram constituency while addressing a press conference at the Press Club here today.
The BJP leader, who was accompanied by hordes of farmers from Somapura village, said that farmers have been very happy with what NICE Ltd has done for them. “We are very happy with the facilities that are provided by NICE as a compensation for the land that we gave for the development. It is our ex-Prime Minister Devegowda who has colluded with certain villagers from in and around Gottigere, Veerasandra, Hemmigepura and Channaveriyanapalya and are trying to create ill-will in the minds of the public,” he added
The farmers who have given their land to the Government for development purpose are provided Rs 7 Lacs, jobs, houses etc. from NICE and have been very supportive towards the construction of the road, he explained.
Expressing anguish over the happenings in the last 4 to 5 days on the NICE Peripheral Road, due to which traffic has come to a standstill there, he said, “I, on behalf of all the villagers request the public to enquire about the people who are against NICE and therefore are creating riots in the name of farmers, which is also causing dishonour to farmers.”
