Annadanam to 5,000 devotees at Byrasandra

Former Corporator of Byrasandra and aspirant for forthcoming BBMP elections, N. Nagaraju hosted an event for people of his ward, Annadatha Suki Bhava, earlier this week to commemorate the annual ritual of Lord Ayyappa Swamy at Balamuri Swami Temple, Byrasandra. Sri BN Vijayakumar, MLA presided over the pooja and Ayyappa bhajans sung by professional troupe. A special homa was performed by Sri. Ravishankar in the evening and poor feeding of over 5,000 devotees held later, with Vijayakumar, Nagaraju and other former corporators SK Natraj, CK Ramamurthy, B. Somashekar, Chinnigiriyappa General secretary and aspirant Chandrashekar Raju, serving the public.
Poor feeding of public is being practiced every year as part of Ayyappa Swamy celebrations, with Nagaraju taking the lead. Known as Park Nagaraju for his concern for development of parks, Nagaraju has also been very active in promoting traditional Indian culture and customs.
