UNITES goal is 22,000 paying members by 2011, which is about 4% of the present workforce of the ITES industry in India
To strengthen the existing contacts, collective agreements, members, UNITES structure and units.
To build strong network and establish contact and form unions of ITES Professionals working in various BPO and call Centre companies in major targeted cities and companies.
To Increase awareness on trade union and basic labour rights among circle/branch leadership and motivate to their work for strengthening the workers welfare and getting respect for union.

The UNITES team was led by General Secretary Karthik Shekhar and addressed the Unite UK finance conference He also met managements at a number of UK-based companies, discussed the growth of outsourcing with Lord Tom Sawyer in the House of Lords
