Free appliances to visually impaired

Sneha Jeevi Shanthi Priyara Angavikalara Abhiruddi Trust (SJSPA Trust) in association with IDL Foundation will distribute free sun glasses, shawls and folding canes to physically and visually challenged persons on Sunday, March 4.

IDL Foundation executive trustee PK Paul said about 1,300 free appliances would be distributed on the occasion, including 300 sun glasses, 300 folding white canes, 300 shawls and 200 FM radios. Participants can also look forward to lot of surprise gifts that will be given on first-come-first-serve basis, he said.

A special music performance by IDL Blind Band will be the highlight of the event. The IDL Blind Band have presented many a stirring show in the past. Recently, they performed before Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murthy during which, the latter was moved enough to sing along with the troupe.

Venue of the event is National Highway Grounds, Tumkur Road, opposite T Dasarahally, Town Hall, Vidyanagar, T Dasarahally. Free breakfast, lunch and tea will be provided to the participants.
