Sunday as Polling Day for BBMP elections

Dear Sir 

The state Government has announced reservation list for BBMP wards and hope we can expect elections very shortly. 
It is unfortunate that polling percentage for the last Lok Sabha election in Bangalore was low. Though there are many reasons for voters apathy ,  I appeal to the election commission  to  consider to keep  polling day on a SUNDAY(other than second Sunday and also not sandwiched with holidays).This will help self employed, private sector employees and unorganized sector to vote  without compensating any other day and this might increase polling percentage
With this even   a Government holiday can be reduced and a working day be used for productive purpose. We hope the election  commission will experiment this in forth coming  BBMP elections
