Nagaraju's Vow

'My ward will be no. 1 Ward'

N. Nagaraju, Ex. Corporator and aspirant for forthcoming BBMP election spoke to TWB about his long political innings and his approach to public life:
I believe that service to people is service to God. I don't pray at home or light the ceremonial lamp at home. I always believe that helping people is the best way of worshipping God. I believe in all religions, I go to church, temple and mosque. When God is one, how can people be different? That is how I treat every individual who comes to me seeking any help.
I am not a person for theorizing, I believe in action. When someone comes an empty stomach we should first feed him instead of giving him advice. God has given me enough wealth, I don't have to make wealth coming to politics, nobody can dare tell me that I owe someone something in kind or cash, I only owe my people, better service.
My aim is to make my ward No.1 ward in Bangalore. I have been given a totally free hand from my mentor MLA Sri. BN Vijayakumar, which is possible only with people like him backing corporators like us. I am sure that he will not only help me to make my ward no 1 but also whole of Jayanagar Constituency. Usually people promise so many things while contesting for an election, but here in Jayanagar particularly we will go with evidence of many good development works before we go to people. A lot of projects in Byrasandra are on progress which we will complete by mid-December.

I owe my gratitude to all those people who are calling me on my cell phone and lending their full support and responding positively to my contesting the BBMP election. Sri. BN Vijaykumar has cast a big responsibility on us and we'll work hard to keep up to his expectations and also strengthen the BJP in the city.
