Established in the year April 2008 by Pramodini Prashanth and Meghana Rao Simha, i-cue is an interactive children's library and activity centre in Bangalore that also offers Book deliveries programs for kids. The aim here is to encourage children to read books and do whatever their heart desires. They have over 7000 books spanning various genres and age groups. While there are Touch and Feel books for the little ones, there are Roald Dahls, the Enid Blyton Series, Ruskin Bond's books, illustrated Shakespeare and the latest Nancy Drew graphic novels for the older ones. The library also has the entire range of books from the National geographic, times Series, pratham for all age groups in Kannada, English and Hindi. They also have a large collection of the ever-favorite Amar Chitra Katha, Panchatantra etc.  The reading areas are bright and colourful and the ambeience appeals to kids of different ages.
i-cue strongly believes in and promotes unstructured learning and reading as a pleasurable and fulfilling activity and not as something that "Has to be done" for school or for the purpose of academics. At I-cue learning is a by-product while the focus is on having fun. They also have activity rooms like the Audio Visual Room with bright floor mats and a theatre-like ambience, where children can view any of the 450 DVD titles available. Everything here is designed to stimulate a child's mind and keep her/him engaged. The bookshelves along the walls have a zigzag, wavy pattern; the rugs depict maps of the world; paintings invite the viewer to decipher the meaning. While older children would possibly be intrigued by these, toddlers who are into more hands-on stuff have the Free Play Area, where they can pick up a toy, try a puzzle or just check out things. There's also an Activity Corner with easels, paints and chalks and children can draw or simply scribble on the huge chalkboard wall. The Science Room has construction, robotics and experiment kits for the weekly science hour. They also have regular story telling and science sessions.

The assorted Book Kit is a set of 6 books or 5 books and a multimedia title. The set includes a mix of concepts & subjects, and has a wide variety, to give your child exposure to different genres of books. These books are age appropriate and aimed at keeping your children's interest alive in reading.
Thematic Book Kits
The thematic Book Kit contains a set of 5 books or 4 books and a multimedia title based on a common theme. The set could be a combination of fiction and non-fiction books or even a multimedia title. The book kit would also contain some fun and engaging activities that go with the theme. These themes are age appropriate and have been carefully selected to help nurture the minds of children.

If a child wants to take a break from reading, several other activities are also available. For example: arts and crafts room, science room, audio-visual room, in- house activities like story time yoga, rhyme time, free play area, and activity room.
About i - Cue Scouts Pre- school
Children learn best when they are engaged and interested, and what better way to do that than to have fun with learning? At I cue Scouts Pre-School, "Play with a purpose" guides the unique age-specific program and curriculum, each program is designed to move the child ahead developmentally, intellectually and socially in an environment that's warm, nurturing and fun. And, of course, school readiness is a main goal for all of the programs. They view nearly every activity in which the child engages as opportunities to teach. So when you visit I-CUE Scouts and see children playing with others, or alone reading a book, you'll know they are all learning and having fun. The School Curriculum has seven main focus areas such as language, Rhythm, movement, reasoning (cognitive) development, socio-emotional and Discover and explore.
I cue in-house activities
Audio-Visual Room: i-cue houses an exciting collection of children's movies and documentaries. Unlike common belief, movies sometimes lure children towards the joys of reading. At i-cue, we believe that movies can compliment a book. Children tend to feel more inclined towards picking up a book if they are already familiar with the characters and the story through movies. Movies also help children understand and come to terms with issues and topics that may be otherwise intimidating and complex. Often movies can entice children to pick up a book which is at a higher level of reading, simply because they found the movie interesting and would therefore like to read the book. At i-cue, children may choose a movie of their interest and view it in our AV room, at all hours except during scheduled movie time.
Science Room: At i-cue we realize the importance of "doing science" in order to stimulate interest and generate curiosity among children. Although children are exposed to various aspects of science at school, the learning benefits of hands-on experiments and activities far surpass those of academic learning. Our science room provides interesting kits for science, construction and robotics where children will find innovative and insightful ways to learn about the world around them and develop an understanding of its essential nature.              
Story-time yoga: A Unique story and movement session put together especially for younger children who have boundless energy and find it difficult to sit still even through the most interesting story telling sessions. Our story- time Yoga is a one hour high-energy session that combines yoga movements, stories and and the freedom to become an intrinsic part of the story. Conducted twice a month on Saturdays, between 5 and 6 pm. Ages: children below the age of 7yrs.        
RHYME TIME: Rhyme-time is conducted at i-cue for children below the age of 4yrs, where we create a relaxed yet stimulating environment with opportunities for singing, movement and use of rhythm. Most importantly, we keep it fun, fun, fun!
Story-time: at i-cue we have a regular story time for younger children, in order to stir an interest in stories and books. Story time is often followed by fun arts and crafts activities.
Story reading: This hour is for our beginners and intermediate readers, where stories are read and read to with special attention to vocabulary and language development.
Book club: The book club provides a platform for our older children and advanced readers to express, discuss and critique books from varied genres.
Science activity hour: Our weekly science hour is filled with fun and practical science activities. Here children get an insight into the applications of science in their daily lives.
Arts and crafts: A theme-based hour where children are introduced to different topics and concepts through various arts and crafts activities.
Movie-time: at i-cue movie time is used to entice children to read. Reluctant readers are first introduced to a book through a movie and gently coaxed into picking up the book since they are already familiar with the characters.
