The Padayatra elicited very good response from the people. Some contributed bags of rice, shopkeepers gave away Dress materials, blankets, Sarees, Dal, Oil, dry fruits, Atta, etc. Individual 400 packs were made with each bag consisting of provisions for one week including 10 kgs of rice, Steel plates, glass dal, oil, salt, atta, sambar podi , Mineral water cans,  etc.
Jayanagar 8th Block Laughter Club also collected Rs.50,000/-, bedsheets, blankets and other grocery items and handed them over to Chandru.
The Padayatra  began from 5th Block, Jayanagar, proceeding via 11th Main, 4th Block and 4th 'T' Block and 9th Block. All the relief items were taken directly  to Mantralaya, Bijapur and other affected areas of North Karnataka by Chandrashekar Raju, and 40 members including Keshav Kumar, Jayanagar Federation Secretary and other supporters. The buses in which they were traveling was flagged off by Sri. Rehman Khan, Rajya Sabha MP, accompanied by Sri. Ramalinga Reddy and Sri. Suresh, Congress leader.
