BHARATHI CEMENT LAUNCHES IN INDIA
CONTRIBUTING TO INDIA'S CEMENT SUPPLY BY 5 MILLION TONNES.

Having set up a latest cement manufacturing industry in Nallalingayapalli (Village), Kamalapuram (Mandal), Kadapa (Dist), Andhra Pradesh, Bharathi Cement Corporation Ltd has announced the launch of its commercial operations. India's latest entrant into the cement sector is all set to contribute up to 5 million tonnes of cement to India's growing demand. The first phase of supply 2.50 million tonnes is ready for production and the second phase of 2.50 million tonnes will be ready for production in the last quarter of 2010.
Bharathi Cement would focus on Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Goa, Kerala and part of Maharashtra initial phase and progressively increase their plan in India presence through organic and inorganic growth. The cement will be supplied by already signed and growing number of dealers and sub-dealers. The company has invested in best of breed machinery where the quality is of premier quality, control of which is done robotically. The company has also invested in a robust back-end transport system which will allow it to deliver the cement within 24 hours of booking it. The approximate ratios of the dispatch will be 50% by road and 50% by rail
Confirming this development M Ravinder Reddy, Director Marketing said, "We are pleased to inform that we are ready to commence commercial operations catering to our Indian customers. With the cement industry continuing to show growth, it is indeed an ideal time to enter the market. He further added, "Bharathi Cement is committed to take this business to a market leading position and has already a strong network of 600 dealers and 1000 sub-dealers, which is growing each day."
According to new RNCOS report "Indian Cement Industry Forecast to 2012", India ranks second worldwide in the cement production after China. The Indian Cement Industry is continuously expanding with rising production capacity of major players in the past few months. Moreover, the cement production and consumption are expected to grow rapidly during 2010-2012.
Bharathi Cement has invested in building a state-of-art technology plant using FLSmidth & LOESCHE. A Robotic Lab has been built in the factory to analyse the raw material to make sure cement is of superior quality. The company has also invested in Vertical Roller Mills from LOESCHE that consume low power and has used German technology for coal, raw and cement mill. In fact, the cement mill in the plant is the largest in the world with a capacity of 360 tonnes per hour grinding capability. The plant also has packing
capability, bulk loading facility and railway siding inside the plant
Bharathi Cement will produce all varieties of cements like Ordinary Portland Cement-43 Grade, Ordinary Portland Cement-53 Grade, Portland Pozzolana Cement and Portland Slag Cement The company has tied up with RTTP for Fly Ash and Slag from Jindal Steels, Tomagal, Karnataka.
Apart from cement manufacturing, the company also is expected to present in Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) segment.
The company is also planning to set up Captive Power Plant (CPP) Thermal base at the plant location, where the power can be used for the cement plant.
