Government of Karnataka all set for Global Investors' Meet 2010

The Government of Karnataka has unveiled the details of the Global Investors Meet (GIM) 2010 to be held in January 2010 at Bangalore.
 "Advantage Karnataka, One State, Many Opportunities" was officially unveiled on Wednesday by Minister for Industries Murugesh R. Nirani. While the website was launched by Sri. Katta Subramani, IT BT Minister on behalf of government of Karnataka,
The government of Karnataka plans to raise investments from companies across twelve key sectors include engineering, automobile and auto components, aerospace, Information Technology, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, apparels and textiles, food processing, steel and metallurgical industry, cement, contract research and R&D, oil refining & petrochemicals  and infrastructure. In a message by the Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa said: "As part of our Vision 2020, Karnataka is working to achieve a GSDP of over 9 per cent and industrial growth of 12 per cent or more.industual policy 2009-2014 was also framed to be in line with the vision of the state. The global investors meet 2010 is a significant step towards reaching the states vision of emerging as one of the top industrialized states of India
Our vision is to make Karnataka in ideal place not only to live but also for business. We have announced a new Industrial Policy, mineral policy and textile policy with the focus being inclusive growth.." For the meeting, there will be road shows in major Indian cities.
