Yet another leader joins BJP

It is yet another feather in the cap for BJP, specially in Jayanagar assembly constituency. After the popular former Corporator N. Nagaraju's entry, it is now the turn of BV Ramesh to join the saffron party.
Speaking to This Week Bangalore, BVR said his decision to join the BJP was mainly on account of the development works taken by Jayanagar MLA BN Vijaykumar. He said the MLA's simplicity and sincerity made him to rethink. "We are all keen on making Jayanagar the number one assembly constituency in Bangalore. Rather than oppose Sri Vijaykumar, I thought it would be better to support his efforts and strengthen his hands," he said.
BVR is not a new face in Jayanagar. He has served the people with sincerity and dedication in the past. He had contested against CK Ramamurthy in the Corporation elections in the past and lost to him.
BVR began his political innings inspired by Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan and Ramakrishna Hegde. A nationalist to the core and a strong votary of Kannada supremacy, Ramesh has been in the forefront mobilizing people on issues of public importance. He said the credit for his joining the BJP should go to his friends, N. Nagaraju, CK Ramamurthy and Somashekar, former Corporators.
