Veteran Social Activist passes away

Veteran social activist M.S. Visweswara (3rd Dec 1948 - 18th Aug 2009), passed away recently. He hailed from Maradihalli, Chitradurga district and was socially active from his school days. He was a good debater and a volleyball player. He had a flair for writing articles.
He was associated with ABVP and Rashtreeya Swayamsevak Sangh since 1970. He was one of the founder member of the Chitradurga ABVP and served as office secretary during 1971 - 72 while studying PUC.  Later, he served as RSS Chitradurga district coordinator. He actively opposed imposition of emergency during 1975 - 77 and played a key role in establishing Jnanabharati Vidyakendra of Chitradurga.
During 90s, he moved to Bangalore. He was very much interested in Education, Media and Policy issues. He simplified Rubik cube solutions, prepared teaching material related to science, economy, geography (maps) and mathematics suitable for children. He delivered lectures in schools and encouraged others to follow the model.

He was the founder trustee of Education Informal (http://www.educationinformal.in), an NGO working towards formulating public policy guidelines. He was also an editor of media.syndicate (http://www.mediasyndicate.in), an online news agency providing essential educational news. He was serving as Treasurer of the Education Informal Trust.
He mentored youngsters, was supportive of his peers and colleagues and had very good interpersonal relationship with everyone.
