Param is an Innovation Consultant and Consumer Anthropologist. In simpler words -- he studies consumers' needs and behaviour, and uses these insights to help companies in making innovative products and services for the consumer. Unlike traditional market research techniques (like surveys), he studies consumer behaviour by actually observing them (sometimes, even spending a whole day or several days with them) - in their homes, on the way to work, while shopping, while eating, while in the bus, etc.
