Sonu Nigam's first Kannada Video Album!

It was the year 2007, when Mungaru Male, a musical love story filmed on a modest budget became one of the biggest blockbuster in Kannada of all time.
The musical score was by Mano Murthy, with lyrics by Jayant Kaikini and its best-selling tracks rendered by India's top male singer Sonu Nigam.
The soulful melodies were instant chart-busters and other Kannada film makers started making a beeline to Bollywood's number one singing sensation. Subsequently a series of chartbusters followed suit, and soon Sonu Nigam became an icon among Kannada music lovers too.

In order to return the love, adulation and ovation the Kannada audiences had showered on him, Sonu is now presenting an exclusive Kannada album for his fans, viz. Neene Bari Neene You, Only You).
The album is a collection of love songs in Kannada with the Mungara Male team, Sonu -M ano Jayant. It is produced by Ashok Kheny under the banner of AKK Entertainment. The launch was held at ITC The Windsor Hotel and was released by Deepak Thimmaya, noted TV Anchor, in the presence of actors Madhuri Bhattacharya, Imtiyaz, and Vikram Razdan, Director.

The album has a total of 9 songs out of which, presently, 2 lavishly mounted music videos have been filmed. This non-film audio album featuring a solo artiste is a break through, first-of- its- kind venture in Karnataka.
Addressing the media ASHOK KHENY said being a true patron of fine arts, he has left no stone unturned to make NEENE BARI NEENE his landmark entry into the entertainment arena.
He elaborates the excited enthusiasm that he has personally infused into the project saying, "I am sure that both, the melodies of the songs and mounting of the visuals will be an audio-visual treat to music lovers of Kannada music."
According to Kheny, the album is being produced at a cost of Rs one crore, with Sonu Nigam agreeing to do it for free. It is expected to be completed in 18 months time. The producers expect to sell one lakh CDs in the very first week.
Other plans include a 13-episode serial on Tumkur Siddaganga Swamiji, with Deepak Thimmaya as Executive Producer, Kheny added, apart from a film on Bala Gangadhar Swamiji, a Kannada movie based on IT community. There will be also an annual singing competition for upcoming singers and the winner will get a chance to go on a world trip with Sonu Nigam apart from being given a chance to sing for his album.
Kheny will soon be coming out with a film in Hindi called Prem Ka Game, starring Salman Khan, Abbas Khan and Mallika Sherawath.
Lyricist Jayant Kaikinis said the song s are a mix of classical, ghazal, folk, pop and western music.
