SSLC/PUC toppers to be honoured

When all other organizations will be busy celebrating Ganesha Festival by splurging on decoration and other unwanted things, here a rare example of how a youth forum in Jayanagar is planning to usher in the festival.

Jayanagar Galayara Balaga will conduct Blood donation camp on August 29 at 28th Main, 37 'A' Cross, 4th 'T' Block, Jayanagar at 8.30 am, which will be inaugurated by Sri BN Vijayakumar, MLA, along with ex-Corporators CK Ramamurthy, N. Nagaraju and B. Somashekar.

In the evening the Toppers of SSLC and PUC students will be honored with cash prize and a Memento of specially designed Ganesha idols. This will be followed by an orchestra by Movie Melodies troupe.

Also, Jayanagar Gelayara Balaga will present free Hearing Aids to the hearing impaired and cash to the physically handicapped, said Vasudev, president. He said the organization has been holding such events for the past eight years.
