Treat your family with homely food

What's hot, spicy, and tasty? Southies! The people of Jayanagar now have another option of getting traditional South Indian homely food at Southies Restaurant in 4th Block, 7th Main, near VGP showroom.  The hotel serves traditional South Indian soft Idlis with a wide range of onion, coconut, tomato chutneys and sambar.
The hotel's concept is: "We give you food which you would love to eat out side" in relaxed ambience, unlike fast food joints and lunch on-the-go. There are three private rooms, an open hall, garden restaurant, and Carnatic music in the background.
The hotel's USP, says Arun, a partner, is they don't add any soda and preparations are totally homely, like mother makes it food.
The regular menus include different varieties of Dosas, vegetable biryanis,  pongal, jamuns, vegetable pulav, etc apart from light snacks and coffee/tea.

On Sundays they have special menus like Wheat Upma, Idly Upma, Veg Biriyani, Tomato Uttapa and Sweet Pongal.
The freshness of the products used and the use of secret home ground recipes bring connoisseurs of food in search of a unique palate of dishes, found only at Southies, says Keerthana, another partner.
