Karnataka Raju Kshatriya Sangha Committee Election

Karnataka Raju Kshatriya Sangha, is holding a EGBM ( Extraordinary General body meeting and board committee) election on the 9th of August Sunday, at their office in 4th Block Jayanagar. Over 40 members are contesting for 9 posts. The elections are held once in two years and currently the Sangha has 4,000 members.
Karnataka Raju Kshatriya Sangha runs an old age home at Tumkur road to accommodate nearly 50 people and provides scholarship to meritorious students of its community and donates free note books to poor and needy children every academic year, conducts free medical camps and is involved in various social and noble activities.
Chandrashekar Raju, well known Congress leader, is one of the chief patron and present General secretary who is once again contesting for the same post in the coming election.

Chandrashekar Raju was recently awarded the Priyadarshini Award for his service to society. A close confidante of senior Congressman Ramalinga Reddy, Chandrashekar Raju has served the party in various capacities for the past 25 years, starting his innings as secretary of the city youth congress, and then elevated to the post of vice president, and state general secretary, and now he is the state vice president of INTUC, (International Trade Union Congress), general secretary, Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress. He was former general secretary, Karnataka Raju Kshatriya Sangha, and is likely to be elected as President, appointed by government of Karnataka as Member of Bangalore Nagarika Hitha Rakshna Samithi. Also  a president of the popular Annapoorneshwari Seva Samithi located in 5th Block, Jayanagar, he has been a great patron of the temple, and also donated generously for construction of a community hall, conducted free mass marriages, got admission in colleges to deserving students, apart from being a successful businessman.
Now, he is getting ready to contest in the corporation elections.
