Free medicines to treat Chikungunya distributed

In association with BBMP Sri. BN Vijayakumar  and Sree Narayana Samithi, A Charitable Socio Cultural Orga nization together organized a free Chik ungunya homeo medicine distribution to thousands of people, on July 21, at Shakari Vidya Kendra School, East End, Gurapanapalaya Ward and Janardhan School, Corporation Colony and  BTM I Stage.
The medicine for prevention ofChikungunya was imported from Germany, and the program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Ramanath, Srinivas Homeo Clini, Thayagarajnagar, and sponsored by K. Rajendran, Chairman of OK-eM Group in memory of R.V. Rajeev. V. Sridhar, BJP's Gurapanaplaya Ward President, and former Corporators CK Ramamurthy,  Somashekar and Dr. Kodur Venkatesh presided.
Apart form that  they distributed 6 Desk and 1500 note books to Janardan Government School in the presence of  BN Vijayakumar along with Sridhar, and enrolled more than 1000 applicants for Widow Pension from Jayanagar East ward with the help of BJP party workers  Shankar, Uday, Umesh,  Suresh and Anand.
Chikungunya is a relatively rare of viral caused by an alpha  virus that is spread by mosquito bites from the Aede aegypti mosquito.

CHIKV causes an illness with the symptoms similar to dengue fever. CKIKV manifests itself with an acute febrile phase of the illness lasts only two to five days, followed by a prolonged arthralfic disease or arthritis that effects the joints of the extremities. The pain associated with CHKIV infection of the joints persists for weeks or months, or in some cases years depending on their age. said Dr. Ramanath:
