Carnatic vocal recital by Srimatha
Srimatha, 29, has been training in Carnatic music under Ganakalashree M.S. Sheela since the age of 12. She has completed her proficiency exam in music with distinction and has been giving performances regularly. She is a 'B' grade artist of the All India Radio in Devaranama and Bhavageete and has been actively involved in various Carnatic music projects. She is an avid blogger and she also regularly contributes articles on music to magazines and websites.
Srimatha will be accompanied by B.K. Raghu on the violin and Adamya on the mridangam.
Raghu has been learning the violin since he was eight and is currently training under Vidushi Neela Ramgopal. He is a graded artist of the All India Radio and has performed in music festivals in Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai and also at a music festival in Tanzania.
Adamya started learning the mridangam when he was 12 and is now training under Sangita Kalanidhi Umayalapuram K Shivaraman. A graded artist of the All India Radio, he has received scholarships from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) and the Department of Culture, Government of India.

Toto Funds the Arts (TFA) is a not-for-profit public trust established in 2004 in memory of Angirus 'Toto' Vellani, who was intensely passionate about music, literature and films. As part of TFA's mission to support and promote artistic talent in young adults, this Chamber Music Concert series aims to provide young individual musicians a platform to showcase their talent. The genres covered will include Carnatic and Hindustani classical, semi-classical, light, folk, instrumental and Western music.
Ananya is a non-profit cultural organisation established for promoting, propagating and nurturing diverse art forms. Besides conducting weekly concerts by veteran and upcoming musicians, Ananya also runs an archive that houses concert music, books and photographs of artists. It also publishes Abhivyakti, a Kannada monthly magazine dedicated to music and the fine arts.
