Reaction to Nagaraju Joining BJP

Win-Win situation before Corpn elections

What do people of Jayanagar think of former Corporator N. Nagarju, joining BJP? Here are some views as told to TWB:
Nagaraj had the reputation of being the number one corporator and it was because of his initiative in developing parks like Bhavi Park and Animals Park that he came to be known as Park Nagaraj. The BJP has found a good catch in him and will benefit in the corporation elections.  - Sathyamurhty
Nagaraj did not take the decision to join the BJP overnight. Several months ago, we had urged him to do so, as he was not treated properly in Congress. He had a bright chance to get the assembly ticket in the previous elections going by his track record, but the party backtracked and did not recognize his good work. It was only after many civic groups and supporters pressured him that he took the decision to leave the party. We wish him well and are sure that he will do much more good work in the future.
One of the good things about Nagaraj is his rapport with the minorities. This is going to help the BJP to get the minority vote in a big way in Jayanagar. - Christopher
With a simple minded MLA like Vijakumar and work-oriented Nagaraj, the BJP can do a lot more for Jayanagar. They now have a golden opportunity to deliver on all their promises. – Bhaskar
