Helen Keller's Day Celebrations

Helen Keller's Day was celebrated at Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled on June 27th, 2009 with and fervor and great gaiety
The program began with Ms Sheela's invocation and a warm welcome speech by Mr. Mahantesh, Founder Trustee of Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled.  Welcoming everybody for the event Mr.Mahantesh recalled how Helen Keller was one of the inspirations behind the establishment of Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled. Ms Basamma spoke about Helen Keller's life and achievements which is an inspiration to the visually impaired and disabled.
The Chief Guests Mr. P S Ravindra of Yahoo Group with a half dozen of his colleagues and Mr.Manish Sabharwal, noted entrepreneur who heads TeamLease Services   a leading staffing company who had participated in the event assured of support to Samarthanam in all the way that Samarthanam desires and also expressed their solidarity with the visually impaired and the people with disability.
Ms Netravati and her group sang a song about Helen Keller and her achievements. The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms Netra.
