Jayanagar MLA BN Vijayakumar continued his interaction meets with government officials at JP Nagar (ward 57) earlier this week at Rangamandir Ist Phase. Over 400 people attended the meet. The Janaspandana meet was presided over by Sri Ananthkumar, Bangalore south MP, Ex. Corporators, C K Ramamurthy, B. Somashekar, SK Nataraj, aspirant for JP Nagar ward, Chandrashekar Raju, and officials from BWSSB, BBMP, Traffic Police, Agriculture Department, Revenue Department.
BJP leader Ananthkumar insisted that the concerned officials should handover the (ATR) action taken report within 15 days to MLA Vijayakumar and himself.
The issues discussed mainly pertained to garbage collection and complaint against the burning of leaves and waste by the garbage collectors which was causing lot of pollution, and discomfort to people, stray dog menace, drainage problems, one way implementation,  lack of Park maintenance, street lights in  the parks, delay in Underpass works near 15th Cross, 24th Main junction at JP nagar 6th Phase,  develop and upgrade the  ground adjacent to Oxford College, expansion of divider on 24th Main JP Nagar, nameboards on display about layouts, public toilet at JP Nagar 6th  last bus stop, more streetlights near 40th Main, SBI Colony, I Phase, JP Nagar.
The public responded warmly to the simple and unfussy attitude of the MLA in conducting such an open meet with the citizens. Sri Vijayakumar said he was trying to get a special budgetary allocation for drainage works in Jayanagar. He also stated that he was the first MLA to conduct month long Padayatra of his constituency.


Addressing the public Vijayakumar said these facilities are purely meant for those are really in need and deserving of the assistance. Over the last three years, the funds meant for welfare schemes was left unused, but from now on, he would ensure that they were not only used fully but also it went to the deserving.
so that this should be issued in a proper manner and also recommend and give opportunity to other people, if you all don't make use of this benefits the fund goes un used and it goes back to BBMP, in fact for the past 3 years the BBMP is not been issuing the tailoring machines to the women's due to some technical reason, but we will ensure you'll that in the next batch tailoring machines will be given to those beneficiaries also
He said a sum of Rs 5 lakh would be given to the educated unemployed youths and entrepreneurs, and assured all the necessary support right from filling the application to getting sanction. The applications can be either collected  from BBMP office or at the Jayanagar MLA's office.
