Foot for footless
Karnataka Marwari Samaj,Bangalore in association with Jeevan Jothi Trust, Erode is organizing a free `foot for footless' camp in Bangalore. Last Date for free registration is 15 July 2009. For more information call 080-4132 4730, 99720 37900.
`Free foot for footless' camp will provide free artificial limbs to the handicapped and free distribution of artificial limbs from Jaipur Foot to needy persons. Patients who are registered on before 15 July will be treated at Camp followed by two-day treatment on July 18th to 19th 2009 (for measurements of limbs) at Maharaja Agrasen Bhavan, near Ashoka Pillar, Jayanagar 1st Block, Bangalore (Time 9 am to 5 pm).

The Jaipur foot is a limb prosthetic designed and developed in India using locally available raw materials and general purpose machinery. It is the most preferred prosthetic in Asia and Africa because of its light weight, durability and optimum cost. It allows for squatting, cycling and working in the fields, all chores essential in this part of the world.
