Dental Information Now In Downloadable Audio/Video Format
Nobel Biocare, world leaders in restorative aesthetic dentistry, have for the first time, introduced a path breaking novel means to deliver educational material on dentistry in a downloadable audio visual format through iTunes, the signature music software of Apple, the global leader in the fields of personal computers, mobile communication devices and portable digital music players. The cooperation aims to provide free training and educational material to dentists, dental specialists, students and patients on Apple's Education platform, through innovative ways to engage millions of dental professionals with state of the art dental education.
The application, available on iTunes U, will be in a downloadable format, and any person with access to Apple’s iTunes store can feed in the requisite link and download the information audio files present online. Nobel Biocare is the proprietor of its own educational entity titled "Nobel Biocare Campus", and by making this revolutionary service available in the public domain, Nobel Biocare has become the first medical technology company to have its own presence on iTunes U, a first of its kind initiative in the world.
On the launch of the iTunes service, Mr. Sameer Bhat, Country Manager, Nobel Biocare India said “The uniqueness of this initiative highlights a significant step in our efforts to evolve the way dental education is conducted and an opportunity to share much of the very high quality training and education material and its highly repuatable know how in this area, that the company possesses”. “The ease of use and public acceptance of the iTunes platform is only expected to increase the popularity of this service and to be instrumental in increasing access to dental education material across India” he added.
