SCHOOL CLOSES… TO OPEN STUDENT'S MIND!!
Yes! St. Mira's, a prestigious school sited at a prime location in BTM layout, today abandoned their regular school activities and gave a break to their teachers.
But WHY??
This is because, St. Mira's is one of those enlightened schools which recognizes the importance of life skills and is eager to empower its students with the same.
In an unprecedented move, St. Mira's dedicated three whole days towards improving the soft skills and life management skills of its students through Buoyancee.
And it began!!
While some students were brimming with energy and confidence, others were, initially, reluctant to come out of their shells. But once the initial hurdles were overcome, the students showcased their immense talent and really explored their potential. Right from public speaking to creativity sessions to life skill classes, the students participated with a lot of heart and vigor. Some also seemed to discover a side to them they were never aware of.
"I would have never thought I could stand in front of classmates and pretend to be water, but LOOK at me now.." squealed a 7th standard student in delight, after a class of Personification, where the students were required to infuse life and assume the role of inanimate objects. At the end of the first day, the students were found craving for more and seemed to be able to hardly contain their excitement in anticipation of the days to come.
On the second day, the trainers were warmly greeted by the sight of the students looking through the window panes, their young faces expectantly beckoning them.
For many students, the day began with a dose of meditation while others discovered the fun in math. While meditation was a whole new experience to the kids, the fun with math session got their grey cells kick started. The day rolled on with the students continuing from where they left off the previous day. Many learning were stimulated through the day which the students lapped up hungrily. The drive to improve was tremendous in the students and the impact was obvious for all to see.
