The Muthoot Group launches Instant rail ticketing services

Services to be available at more than 1300 branches across 20 states to ensure widespread accessibility
Bangalore: Muthoot Travelsmart, the travel and tourism division of The Muthoot Group, A Muthoot M George Enterprise has launched railway ticket booking services in association with Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC). The facility will be available in more than 1300 Muthoot Finance branches across 20 states in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. M. G. George Muthoot, Chairman, The Muthoot Group said “We are glad to have started offering railway ticketing services and look forward to assisting people with our strong network of branches. The facility is a major boon for people who don’t have a reservation center nearby and are not acquainted with online booking.”
“Commuters will no longer have to stand in long queues or pay a hefty fee to agents for booking their tickets. They also stand to benefit from our experience of over 122 years of serving customers.” added Mr. M. G. George Muthoot.
Users can also gather all booking related information like train routes, fare details, seat availability and can thereafter procure train ticket at the Muthoot Finance branch. Minimal service charges (per PNR number) of Rs 30(for AC) and Rs 20(for non AC) will be levied on booking train tickets. On cancellation, users will get refunded immediately, a feature not available with online booking.
