Khanna drives Fashion Show with Audi
Show host Viren Khanna in association with Audi delivered every bit of the dosage of glamour, style and entertainment that they promised. Attended by the city's who's who the evening saw corporates, socialites and fashionistas rub shoulders as they viewed the collections.
The first segment had the design team of Anu Nagappa and Susan Fernandes who run the very successful label Astara. They presented a vintage collection in whites for the summer. With silhouettes from the 60's with a very contemporary edge they used pure cotton, khaki, silk, chiffons and georgettes in whites with the monotony broken with a lace detailing adding a romantic feminity to the vintage look. Playful, energetic, cheerful, vibrant, bright and sensuous her clothes demonstrated the colors and qualities of a butterfly. Her clothes were bold and confident, sophisticated and stylish. Embellished with swaroski crystals and sequins the sequin kaftan tops, tea length dresses, hot pants bubble dresses and skirts in pure silk, satin and brocades were teamed with interesting accessories. Her showstopper of the evening was a beautiful white dreamy wedding gown with complete with veil, trail and two little flower girls.

The first titled 'Angels Fantasy' started with a dramatic piece of performance by Bangalore's leading model Jackie Shetty. Due to a variety of reasons the entire nightlife in Bangalore was fragmented across the various locations in the city. No doubt, there is nothing more boring that going to a bar or a club and having the impression that you are the only guest. This sparked an idea in young entrepreneur Viren Khanna who seized the opportunity of aggregating the dispersed crowd. He made a deal with existing clubs and started to send out text messages to people of his address book on the mobile phone which he systematically grew with every event; a typical example of "building momentum". Since then, the so called "Viren-Parties" have become a synonym for "something is happening" at least two times a week in Bangalore. He moved ahead to provide more platforms of networking and communication including fashion shows and the hugely successful the Ives Club.
Viren uses his background in technology to the hilt to promote his events through networking sites, sms and mailers. The group titled 'Viren's Nightlife Group - Blitzkrieg' on Facebook already has 3,333 members and is still growing. This is one of the many groups that he uses to promote his events.
