Slum children felicitate Jayadeva Cardiologist
Dr Manjunath, Professor and Head of Cardiology and Director, Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, has been awarded the Padmashree Award. He was felicitated earlier this week by Helping Hearts, a non-profit social welfare organization that works for the heart ailments of poor children living in slums, and sponsors operations like open heart surgery, bypass, angioplasty, angiogram and conducts free health checkup camps for the poor. All the treatments are done at Jayadeva Institute under the active guidance of Dr Manjunath.
Slum children with their parents who have benefited by his surgery presented a bouquet to Dr Manjunath on the occasion.
