LeT terrorist was in Madivala
Suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Imran alias Bilal Ahmed Kota was in Madivala during 2003 and during his stay, a local agent who called himself Rajesh helped him to get a fake passport. This was revealed by a narco-analysis test conducted by the police investigating team.
The Central Crime Branch sleuths have registered a fresh case against Imran for obtaining a fake passport through forgery and impersonation.
According to the police, the LeT terrorist applied for the second passport in the name of Imran, as he already had a passport in his original name, BilaL Ahmed Kota. He used the second passport to travel to Pakistan in a different name.
With the help of Rajesh, a local agent, Imran got clearance from the Madivala police and succeeded in getting the passport.
In an effort to trace the person who helped Imran, the police rounded up several touts from the regional passport office and produced them before him for identification, but it proved futile. The local agent, Rajesh is absconding and police are on the lookout for him.
Imran was arrested in Jalahalli a month ago and was found carrying arms and ammunition.
