Trust for the disabled feels victimized

A few city-based organizations serving the disabled have taken umbrage at the alleged non-cooperative attitude of the State Commissioner in charge of The Persons with Disabilities.

These organizations charge that the officer has not been a facilitator for the welfare of the disabled.
According to the head of a prominent trust for the disabled, the Commissioner has reportedly made it difficult for such NGOs and social welfare organizations to serve the disabled.

There are no instances of his official intervention whenever these organizations needed it to further the cause of the disabled, he alleged. Recently, this trust which is based in JP Nagar received a letter from the Commissioner's office, the import of which, the trustee alleged, was to hinder the functioning and administration of the trust and its activities.
These organizations are now planning to muster public opinion against such official apathy and redress their grievance.
