Friendship Cup 2009
Bi-lateral relations between India + Switzerland in the field of Science & Education
The Embassy of Switzerland in India is organising the “Friendship Cup 2009”, a series of interactive events in the Kuoni Academy centres beginning with Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad from April 27th to April 30th, 2009. It will be held in Mumbai from May 4th to May 8th, 2009 to mark 60 years (1948-2008) of Indo-Swiss Friendship. The theme for the year is “The Bilateral Relations between India and Switzerland in the field of Science and Education”. The objective is to fully explore the potential of co-operation between Switzerland and India in the fields of education, research, technology, innovation and science, apart from others, via interactive programs. The activities such as Film Show, Quiz, Essay Writing and Painting competitions are based on the theme - Bi-lateral relations between India and Switzerland in the field of Science & Education.

The vibrant Indo-Swiss collaboration over the years has resulted in several joint ventures. H.E. Philippe Welti, Ambassador of Switzerland says, “The year 2009 will see many more projects with India and we hope the two countries will thereby expand the horizons of synergies”.
On the 5th of May, 2009, the Grand Finale of the “Swiss week” at the Kuoni Academy centre in Delhi, will witness the Deputy Head of Mission- Embassy of Switzerland, Mr. Arthur Mattli, who will be the Chief Guest for the event. The students who excel in various activities conducted during the “Swiss Week” as Kuoni Academy has coined it, will be felicitated by Mr. Arthur Mattli & encouraged to keep up their good work & enthusiasm.
