Dr Raj remembered in 9th Block, Jayanagar

Legendary actor Dr. Rajkumar's 81st birth anniversary was celebrated on April 24, by Karnataka Yuva Jana Sangha at Dr. Raj Circle on 28th Main, 9th Block, Jayanagar, by paying due respects and performing special  pooja. The organizers distributed butter milk and fresh juice to more than 4000 people.

The Karnataka Yuva Jana Sangha was instrumental in naming the traffic junction on 28th Main after Dr Raj, and regularly conducts functions to commemorate the memory of the Kannada thespian.

Addressing the gathering, KYJS president BV Ramesh underlined the importance of imbibing social values like traffic discipline, and unfailingly exercising the right to vote. He decried people who were more interested in IPL and were even prepared to go far away South Africa to watch the matches, but did not have the time or the inclination to visit the polling booth that was a stone's throw away from their house for voting. KYJS office bearers K. Govind, Vice President, Narasimha Murthy, Honorary President, LR. Aravind, General Secretary, KN. Nagaraj, Treasurer, Executive members MS. Nagaraj Karanth and MC Srinivas were present.
