Shekhar Naik from Shimoga has been member of Samarthanam family for last few years, who has been a sports man primarily responsible for moving blind cricket into the forefront of India's sports activities. In fact it would be apt to call him the Sachin Tendulkar of blind cricket in India. Thus when this iconic sportsman decided to find for himself a companion for life, he did not go far beyond the worlds of Samarthanam and chose his close confident and first love, Roopa.K.C, also a part of the Samarthanam family. Roopa is one of Samarthanam family's most revered and talented dancers.

Along with this couple's tremendous passion for sports and culture, they are also reliable and dedicated employees of Samarthanam. Shekhar Naik works in administration department of sports of Samarthanam and Roopa is in charge of the Swadhara Project.
