Timken homes for the underprivileged
Timken India, a leader in the manufacturing of industrial bearings and components in association with Habitat for Humanity India, have constructed homes for the needy people in Hegdenagar, Hennur.
Muneer Khan, an auto rickshaw driver is the beneficiary of the house built by Timken's associates.
Around 25 associates along with Gordon Robinson, Managing Director of Timken lent their support in building homes for the underprivileged people who do not possess proper living quarters for themselves.
Through this initiative, Timken India has been instrumental in constructing two other homes in different locations (one in Hitharahalli in Boodigere Taluk, Hoskote and one in Byapanahalli). This home is the third one being constructed by Timken and its associates.
Habitat for Humanity International is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to eliminating poverty housing. HFHI has built more than 24,000 houses in 100 countries globally, and over 1.2 million people are living in Habitat homes they helped build and which they own through low-cost, no-profit mortgages.
