8.3 lakh polling stations in coming LS Polls

Electors will have 8.3 lakh polling stations to cast their votes during General Elections
In the forthcoming general elections, electors will be able to caste their votes at 8.3 lakh polling stations.  Over 1.41 lakh additional polling stations will be available to the voters in comparison to general elections of 2004.  Out of these, about 12,901 new polling stations will be in villages having less than 300 electors.
