Install CCTV to prevent theft

Banks and customers should be alert to the techniques used by criminals. To outsmart the criminals, the banks need to install closed circuit television sets in their premises. Stating this at an interaction meet with bankers and residents held recently by the Jayanagar 5th Block Residents Welfare Association, N Ramesh Chandra, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, Jayanagar explained the various types of crimes that might happen to customers while withdrawing money and said that  installation CCTV cameras might be useful to Bankers to watch and identify real customers from strangers - and also help Police to track culprits .He also stressed the  need to check credentials of security guards and house maids  before they are appointed .The interaction also emphasized the need for  close interaction among neighbours and with  the local police which might minimise the crime rate.
