Says Dr Subramaniam Swamy
"Secularists" threatening national integration!
Janata Party President and former Minister of Law & Commerce, Dr. Subramanian Swamy delivered a lecture on ‘Is India’s National Integration under Threat?’ on March 2, organized by the Rotary Club of Bangalore, at the Rotary House of Friendship. In his inimitable hard-hitting style, Dr Swamy lashed out at the so-called secularists who were bartering away the country’s national integration in the name of secularism.
A trained economist and a visiting Professor at the Harvard Summer School, who was awarded a doctorate by the Harvard University at the age of 25, Dr Swamy had predicted in 2007 – when the market was on song – that the Sensex would go below 9000. For five times between 1974 and 1999, he has been elected Member of Parliament. He has twice represented the city of Mumbai (Bombay), Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu in the Parliament. Dr. Swamy has been subject to several defamation cases. He is known to argue these cases himself without the agency of lawyers. He is instrumental in fighting for the cause of preventing the destruction of Rama Sethu bridge.
