New FICCI team at the helm
Mr. Harsh Pati Singhania (47), Managing Director, J K Paper Ltd and Director, J K Organization, has taken over as President of FICCI at the conclusion of the 81st Annual General Meeting of FICCI. Mr. Singhania is a fourth-generation industrialist belonging to one of the largest industrial groups in India - JK Organisation, with a turnover of about USD 2.2 billion (about Rs 11000 cr) and over 30000 employees including 6000 engineers and professionals. Its manufacturing activities include Paper and Boards, Cement, Tyres & Tubes, Power transmission including V-Belts, System Engineering, Hybrid seeds, Oil Seals, Sugar, Dairy Products, Textiles, Health Care, Clinical Research etc. Manufacturing facilities of the Group are spread over the entire Indian sub-continent as also several countries abroad.
Mr Rajan Bharti Mittal, Managing Director of Bharti Enterprises has been elected as the Sr Vice President of FICCI. Bharti Enterprises is one of India's leading business groups with interests in telecom, agri business, insurance and retail. Bhatri has been a pioneering force in the telecom sector with many firsts and innovations to its credit.
Mr Harsh C Mariwala, CMD, Marico Limited, has been elected as the Vice President as the Vice President of FICCI. Over the last three decades, Mr Mariwala has transformed a traditional commodity driven business into a leading Consumer Products and Services Company in the beauty and wellness space. Marico markets well-known brands such as Parachute, Saffola, Kaya, Mediker, Revive, among others.
