AIRCEL launches GSM Mobile services in B'lore

Aircel, the fast growing Pan India telecom operator in the country, has launched its GSM mobile services in Bengaluru. With a subscriber base over 16 million, Aircel, the fifth largest service provider, rolled out its 12th circle with Bengaluru.
It was launched by Sandal wood star Punit Rajkumar, at Taj West Gate Hotel at Race Course hotel, in the presence of Mr. Gurdeep Singh, Chief Operating Officer, KVP Baskar, Operations Director, South, Aircel Cellular Limited.
Mr. Gurdeep Singh, Chief Operating Officer, Aircel said, the company will be introducing products and services uniquely tailored to meet the special needs of Bengaluru consumers.
To reward high usage in a simple manner there is an inbuilt reduction in tariff on all local calls after the first minute to 50p for all subsequent minutes, he said.
Mr. Gurdeep Singh, further added, "We attribute our success to our core values of trustworthiness, simplicity, strong local connect and service that is value for money. We bring these same values to serve Bengaluru. While the mobile penetration is (APPROX) 78% in Bengaluru, there are a lot of segment based needs that an operator can fulfill for better consumer satisfaction."
