World-class Sagar Hospital now in Banashankari

A 415 bed tertiary care referral centre with advanced medical technology and world-class facilities

sagarSix years after the success of its Jayanagar branch, the Sagar Group has come up with a 415-bed multi-speciality tertiary care referral hospital in the sprawling 29 acre Wi-fi enabled campus of Dayananda Sagar Institutions in Kumaraswamy Layout. Sagar Hospitals, Banashankari aims to be among the finest in the country, across a variety of disciplines.

The hospital was inaugurated by several VVIPs. Dr. B.S. Yeddyurappa, Chief Minster cut the inaugural ribbon, in the presence of Sri. Padma Vibhushan Dr. G. Madhavan Nair, Chairman, ISRO & Secretary to the Department of Space. Opposition leader Mallikarjuna Kharge, Ramachandre Gowda, Minister for Medical Education, and M H. Ambareesh, Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting, presided.
An elated Dr Premachandra Sagar, Vice Chairman, Sagar Group, said the hospital would offer high quality medicare at an affordable price within the reach of the common man, announcing the new tagline for the hospital, viz. 'With You. For Life'.

The services offered include a wide range of surgical and therapeutic treatment in various super specialities such as Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Nephrology and Urology with Greenlight Laser procedures for treating enlarged prostate, Paediatrics and Neonatology, Paediatric surgery, Cardiac Sciences, General and Minimally Invasive Surgery, Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, Plastic Surgery and Cosmotology, Neurology and Neurosurgery with brain lab navigation, Diabetes and Endocrinology apart from various other clinical specialities.

"Our hospital has pioneered many revolutionary procedures using the latest cutting edge technology. We were the first in south-east Asia to install the 1.5 Tesla MRI in Sagar Hospitals, Jayanagar", said Dr. Sagar. The new hospital is equipped with some of the latest diagnostics and surgical equipments in the world.
It is the first hospital in Bangalore to install the 128 Slice CT, which is the fastest CT in the world. It can perform a cardiac scan in just five seconds and a full body scan in 10 seconds. The 128 Slice CT also reduced radiation by 80% and provides clear imaging CT angio.

The robotic enabled core operation theatre is well-equipped for minimally invasive surgeries. All operation theatres in the new Sagar Hospitals are fitted with L.E.D. lights bringing in the latest technology in operation theatres.

It is also the only hospital in Bangalore to have cubicle ICUs for patient privacy. The ICUs have cameras for each cubicle enabling remote access to patients from anywhere.

Well appointed rooms have two-way video conferencing facility. Well-laid outpatient consulting rooms with spacious waiting lounge, Super-speciality procedures like open heart surgeries, cardiac surgeries" kidney transplants, knee replacements, hip replacements, coronary and peripheral angioplasty, advanced neuro intervention and complex neuro surgeries are done at the Hospital. It also has a facility for providing emergency and trauma care for treating cardiac arrests, Road Traffic Accidents (RT A) and other such medical emergencies. The emergency unit is attached to a minor aT for providing immediate medical attention to patients.

The inception of Sagar Hospitals gave impetus to the healthcare scenario, especially in South Bangalore. Located in Jayanagar 41h T Block, the multi-disciplinary tertiary care hospital was started in July 2002 with 250 bed strength.
