Did we say Nagesh is a VIP? Yes, but of a different kind: He is Visually Impaired Person, actively associated with Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled.
Nagesh first shot into prominence with his amazing repertoire of mimickry at a programme organized by Samarthanam Trust in the presence of chief guest Dr Yesudas. He can mimic Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, Akshay Kumar, Dharmendra, Shakti Kapur, Sunil Shetty, Rajkumar, and in Kannada, Shankar Nag, Ambareesh, Tiger Prabhakar, and current heart throb Ganesh.
A professionally trained mimic, singer, anchor, and voiceover, Nagesh has also performed in US on a number of occasions. Recently he performed in the UK also. He first started as a mimic and then did a course in voice modulation course, and honed his skills taking part in several intra and inter college competitions and winning prizes. At college, he also won the best student and is also a post graduate degree holder in economics.
Overall I can imitate the voice of over 82 celebrities," says Nagesh shyly. He is also an accomplished singer, and can belt out the best of Mohammad Rafi, Dr Raj, SPB, and Kishore Kumar.
