Sir,  
Usage of Jayanagar 5th Block Playground on 10th Main, 38th Cross. 
The above playground is the only one available for children and youth for recreation for all of 5th Block, Jayanagar.
Some of the schools and colleges are also regularly utilising this playground for their sports activities.
BBMP has so far spent lakhs of rupees in developing this ground. We are sorry to say that in spite of our earlier appeals, the authorities have given permission to conduct activities other than sports like Crackers Sales, exhibition, motor racing, car sales, etc. This has deprived the children from their regular playing activities. By giving permission to these activities, the organisers damage the ground, use loud speakers till late night and the visitors who attend to this programme park their vehicles in front of the gates of the residences, which is causing inconvenience to them.
We would like to urge the authorities to reverse their decision and permit only sports activities in this playground.
