CM hosts high tea for Christians

BJP anti-Christian? It looked far from it on Dec 27, when chief minister Sri B.S. Yeddyurappa hosted a high tea for the Christian community in Banquet Hall, Vidhana Soudha. Leading personalities, priests and nuns from the community were present in large numbers for the Christmas party, which began with a prayer sung by the nuns.
The CM went around and individually exchanged Christmas greetings with each and every one by shaking their hands. Among the invitees were Christa Prabhalaya parish  priest, Rev. Father Christy, Fr. Francis, Bishop house, Fr. Jose Kutty, Christu Jyothi College, Sisters from various convents and colleges, Jolly, film maker, Fullinfaw, President State Minority Morcha, BJP, Mumtaz Alli Khan, Minister, Kennady Shantha Kumar, State General Secretary, Minority Morcha, Mehboob Khan, City President, and Kishore Joseph, Publisher, This Week Bangalore.
The CM also honoured some of the leading lights of the Christian community viz. Rev. Father, Jose Kutty, PN Benjamin, journalist, Ashley Williams, Musician and Sister Mary.
Senior ministers, MLAs and luminaries interacted with the invitees. Among those present included Justice Rama Jois, former Governor, Katta Subramanya Naidu, R. Ashok, Shoba Karandje, Suresh Kumar, Veeranna Katti, Ramachandre Gowda, Udasi, Jagadish Shettar, Dr. A. Ravindra and Nandeesh Reddy.
Said Kishore Joseph, about the meet, "The opponents of the BJP will be quick to dub this initiative as a stunt, but let us not forget that he is the first CM to host a party for the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas."
