Pooja Gandhi wows audience

Ninagagi Kadhiruve Audio release

The maiden directorial venture of talented stunt director Jolly Bastin's 'Ninagagi Kadhiruve''s audio cassettes and CDs were released on Christmas day at Banashankeri Big Bazar in a simple function but before a packed gathering. In a jolly little speech, Jolly Bastin explained how he made the transition from directing dishum dishum stunts to making a movie.
Cancer research specialist Dr. Vijayakumar who has donned the role of a villain and veteran stage personality and journalist A.S. Murthy jointly released the audio album.
Pooja Gandhi, the hot sensation of 'Mungaru Male' fame has dubbed for the first time for her role after a dozen Kannada films. The sizzling star who resides nearby Big Bazaar came up walking the fourth floor and hit it off very well with the audience.
The forthcoming movie consists of 5 songs including three shot in picturesque Malaysia.
Giving details about the movie, Jolly said cameraman P. Rajan had shot 65 percent of the film inside the four walls of a house. Actor Vishal Hegde, Dilip Raj and music director Robin Gurang were present to promote the film, apart from the producer Satish Babu. Anand Audio is marketing the album.
Talking briefly about the film, Pooja Gandhi, said she had not done a role like this in her two year career.
Speaking about his debut as a director, Jolly said while directing stunts involved physical tension, directing a film had more to do with mental tension. He also said it was highly satisfying to make Pooja Gandhi use her own voice for the first time in Kannada. About his expectations from the film, Jolly said while he was nervous just like any other debutant director, he was also confident that it would meet the expectations of the film unit as well as the people, as it had elements of romance and thrills in equal elements.

A veteran in the film industry, Jolly has worked in 400-odd films as a stunt director, in addition to his TV experience. He first forayed into the industry under the guidance of action director Horse Babu, in 'Prema Loka'. Later, he was signed up as an independent stuntman by Ravichandran for his 'Putnanja'. Jolly has also worked for 20 Malayalam films of Mohanlal, Mammooty, Srinivasan, for Chiranjeevi's Annayya, and Silambarasan's Dhum in Tamil. His big moment came when he worked for Ramgopal Varma for his movie, Shock.
One of the reasons for his popularity, Jolly says, is that there have never been any accidents, deaths or failures on any of his sets.
Why the shift to direction? Because being a stuntman after you have reached 30s is mentally too tasking and you want to move on, acknowledges Jolly.
